Anoplate's Facility Expansion Means Doing More Faster



Anoplate is proud to announce that work is currently underway for a major facility expansion. When complete, the nearly $5 million dollar investment will represent the largest capital infusion in the firm’s 57 year history. This expansion doesn’t just mean more floor space and more tanks -- it represents streamlined processing efficiency, greater capacity for handling larger physical parts or higher volumes of the same part.

anodize from anoplate rackingWhen complete the expansion will include more than 70 processing tanks across 3 distinct lines. With substantially increased cooling, rectification, weight carrying capacity, and tank sizes, Anoplate will not only be able to better serve its existing customers, but look to take on new customers as well.

 


This facility expansion will provide increased capabilities for a variety of  anodizing finishes, including:

  • Chromic anodizing
  • Sulfuric anodizing
  • Hardcoat anodizing
  • Titanium anodizing

Advanced Surface Engineering for Critical Parts

For more than half-a-century, Fortune 100 companies to the smallest tool-and-die firms have trusted Anoplate with their most demanding chemical processing, anodizing and plating needs. To permit selective anodizing of parts, a second generation robotic masker will be used to paint mask repetitive, high volume parts. Additive manufacturing, 3D printing of customized plugs and fittings in-house will permit rapid response to prototype and short run orders as well as ensure greater repeatability on repeat orders. While this expansion surrounds enhanced aluminum finishing capabilities, the move will permit similar investments in other processing capabilities in the future.

Anoplate’s facility expansion is being built with special consideration towards minimizing our environmental impact. Non-hexavalent chromium processes are being enhanced to meet ever-tightening regulatory and industry demands such as RoHS and REACH. Where emissions to the environment are unavoidable, advanced control technologies will ensure removal beyond what regulations mandate as part of our on-going commitment to not only our ISO 14001 registered environmental management system but the greater community in which we operate and live.
